blogmas: entry 3 "top 5 books"

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!
Today I have been feeling very Christmassy and very cozy, this morning I was able to go to my favorite empty lot and take new photos, I just came back from picking out a tree, I am currently in a new Christmas sweater, drinking eggnog/blogging, and later I am going to go with my family and some friends to a sleigh ride!
^basically the perfect festive day

Since I am feeling the spirit of this season and one thing that I also love and gets me feeling cozy is books I thought it the right thing to do would be to share my top 5 favorite books
continue reading to learn what books to read this moth and what books will change your life for the better...

1. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling
-7 book series-fantasy literature-
If you are not either reading this or have read it... what are you doing.
This book is literally the best thing I have ever laid eyes on.
The characters are so beautifully created, the plot is interesting, and this book feels like home
Not to mention it is the perfect read for the holidays, I am re-reading it this month and getting all the feels!

2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
-trilogy-science fiction-
If you love action, future set books then this is perfect for you!
Katniss Everdeen is the main character in this trilogy and she is one of my favorite characters.
I would say this one is a little more intense then HP because it is current day and has a lot of fighting scenes but I personally love it! I had to take a while after reading because the feels were too strong.

3. Legend by Marie Lu
-trilogy-science fiction-
I have only read the first book in this trilogy but I had to add it because it is wonderful!
I finished it super quickly because it is one of those reads that sucks you in and you cant put it down!
The characters are captivating because you are able to see how complex they think.
it is also a book that rotates through characters from chapter to chapter, which is something I don't usually like but I had no problem with it in this one!
Definitely a must read!

4. Love + Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
-stand alone- contemporary-
I just read this one last month, the cover is what drew me in because it was so cute and colorful,
and once I read it I was pleasantly surprised that the book was the same!
This book takes place in Italy and has a lot of romance!
The main ship is the cutest one in the ocean and has gotten me obsessed with this lovely read!

5. The Siren by Kierra Cass
-stand alone- fantasy romance-
The Siren is another romance centered book and is such a beautiful read!
You can feel the characters emotions in such a breathtaking way and I love the way it is written!
As well as "love + gelato" this book has one of the cutest ships ever and is too fantastic not to delve into!

And that concludes my top 5 favorite reads! I love reading and these are such amazing books that I 100 percent recommend!

  3. The layout of your blog is perfect and your posts are awesome. I've read Harry Potter 1 and I THINK I read the second. I tried finishing The Hunger Games but I just kept quitting. I'm currently reading a book called The Last Vampire and I perfectly understood it until this very confusing chapter, but I'm gonna keep going and trying.
